What Is CTI Exchange?
The Contraceptive Technology Innovation Exchange—CTI Exchange—brings together a consortium of global partners to generate and share resources on contraceptive research, development, registration and introduction.
What We Do
The CTI Exchange provides a platform for information and resources that support contraceptive research, development, registration and introduction, with an emphasis on improving access in low-resource settings. The site houses information about early- and late-stage contraceptive technologies that are under development, resources on product testing and quality assurance, international regulatory requirements, and strategies for product introduction. We also share news, thought leadership and career opportunities via our site, newsletter and social media.
Why We Do It
It is essential that donors, academics, non-governmental organizations and private industry work together to find innovative solutions to better meet contraceptive needs and preferences worldwide. Over the past several decades, overall investment in contraceptive research and development has declined dramatically. To ensure that novel methods advance through the development pipeline and that there is equitable access to the final products, substantial investments of time, energy, funding and new ideas will be required. Through global knowledge sharing, the CTI Exchange can help to bring together stakeholders from across a richly diverse ecosystem dedicated to improving contraceptives, well-being and access to both.

Who You Are
The CTI Exchange is for anyone interested in contraceptive R&D, registration and introduction, from students to veterans, from researchers to program managers and policymakers. This includes anyone working in and around:
- Clinical research
- Product development
- Manufacturing
- Procurement
- Distribution
- Service delivery
- Funding
Strongly believing knowledge exchange is key to improving products and access, in 2024, funders invested in the platform’s revamp and relaunch, with CTIX Exchange staff taking a user-centered, co-creative approach. Ensuring users are at the center of all we do means your involvement is key to R&D itself. We deeply value your voice and encourage you to contribute your resources, ideas, questions and feedback—please reach out.
