History
2023: Viatris initiates a Phase II dose-range finding trial of MR-130A-01, a progestin-only transdermal patch containing the hormone norelgestromin (NGMN). NGMN is included as the progestin component in Viatris' approved combined contraceptive patches Xulane and Evra.
2025: Viatris initiates a multi-center Phase III trial for MR-130A-01, intended to evaluate efficacy and safety in 1500 participants. Each participant will use the patch for thirteen 4-week cycles. Study completion is expected in early 2027.
