History

2025: The University of Lagos publishes drug release and safety evaluation of a tenofovir + levonorgestrel vaginal film tested in rabbits. Their prototypes produced a favorable degradation time, cumulative release, and mucoadhesion score and histological analysis showed minimal irritation. Developers followed a Quality by Design development model intended to facilitate regulatory compliance and accelerate development.
