Opportunity 1, Clinical Research Internship: The Essential Access Health Research Division has a Clinical Research Intern for reproductive health opportunity. Per their site, “Internships may be flexible to accommodate individual coursework schedule and/or hour requirements. Learning may include: general regulatory requirements, study protocols and procedures, informed consent process, screening prospective study participants, data collection, data cleaning/analysis, and report preparation. We specialize in FDA regulated clinical trials of contraceptive products such as IUDs, hormonal rings, pills, and patches, and male and female condoms. Our sponsors include the National Institutes of Health, nonprofit organizations such as PATH and the Gates Foundation, and major pharmaceutical companies.”  This is an unpaid internship located in Los Angeles or Berkeley, California, U.S.

Opportunity 2, Clinical Trial Fellowship: The Essential Access Health Research Center has a Clinical Trial Fellowship opportunity. Per their site, “This opportunity is designed to prepare the Fellow for a permanent, full-time position with a clinical research institution or organization. The Fellowship will provide experience in the following: protocol development and implementation, FDA regulatory compliance, informed consent process, clinical trial procedures, study recruitment, participant management systems, EDCs and data query systems, IRB requirements/submissions, sponsor communications, and CRO monitoring practices.” The position is based in Los Angeles, California, U.S. and will be 40 hours per week for a six-month period at a rate of $25 an hour.
