History
Biochemist Joseph Hall began identification of enzymes that could reduce sperm's ability to penetrate an egg beginning as early as 1987, and received an NIH grant in 2005 to advance development. However, as of 2008, the platform had not shifted to focused pre-clinical development with a candidate compound or clinical research.
