History
In 2024, researchers from Baylor published findings from large-scale drug screening to identify chemical inhibitors of STK33, obtain crystal structures of STK33 with some of the compounds, and use this information to inform structure-activity relationship studies. They also reported that STK33 inhibitor CDD-2807 induced reversible male infertility without measurable toxicity in mice. Reinvestment from NIH in 2024 and 2025 is intended to bring the development platform forward to IND-enabling studies with refined STK33 inhibitor candidate(s).
