2nd Global ESC Conference Opens in Basel, Switzerland



The European Society of Contraception & Reproductive Health’s second global conference kicked off May 4 under the banner “Contraception:  From Molecular Biology to Social Science and Politics.”  The 4-day event will bring more than 1,350 scientists, health care practitioners and other key stakeholders from 85 countries to Basel to exchange ideas and share research findings.  Keynote and panel discussions reflect the multi-dimensional aspects of the field.  Topics range from recent developments in reproductive physiology to comparative research of various family planning methods to meeting the contraceptive needs of different target groups (e.g. youth and women with HIV) to demographic trends on method choice/use.  For a full summary of conference offerings, click here.
