Applications are due Friday, December 18. Please see the full announcement and details below:

The Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (the Coalition) is the world’s largest partnership of public, private, and non-governmental organizations dedicated to ensuring that all people in low- and middle-income countries can choose, access, and use affordable, high-quality supplies to ensure their better reproductive health. Since 2004, the Coalition has been at the forefront of international efforts to assure reproductive health commodity security by increasing resources, strengthening systems, and harnessing the power of partnership.

The Coalition is seeking to fill a seat on its governing body, designated for an individual with in-depth knowledge and first-hand experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Candidates for the Manufacturers’ Representative (MR) seat must be currently employed by a member organization of the Coalition that is engaged in manufacturing RH commodities which we define as pharmaceutical, male or female condom, IUD, and IUS products. The role of the incumbent will be to ensure that the experience of this diverse sector, which constitutes over 20 percent of the Coalition’s membership, is brought to bear on the deliberations and decisions of the Executive Committee.

The specific responsibilities of the incumbent will be to:

  1. Serve as a conduit for communicating to the Executive Committee (EC) the views and concerns of Coalition manufacturers. Among other periodic virtual meetings, this includes attending bi-annual, in-person EC meetings.

  2. Actively engage with Coalition manufacturers, keeping them abreast of developments within the Executive Committee and soliciting manufacturers’ input where appropriate.

  3. Speak to the interests and concerns of all Coalition manufacturers, including innovators, generics, and the producers of both medical devices and pharmaceuticals.

  4. Represent the Coalition in public fora and particularly in gatherings of reproductive health supply manufacturers.

  5. Secure manufacturer support in furthering Coalition efforts to increase data visibility across the supplies market.

The term of the appointment will be for two years, non-renewable. The incumbent of the MR will alternate between the innovator and generic subsectors. For the term beginning in early 2021, the MR must be from an innovator manufacturer.

To complete the application process, interested candidates, currently employed by an innovator manufacturer, are invited to prepare a statement of no more than two pages that describes:

  • The reason(s) they wish to become a member of the Executive Committee and the contribution they see themselves bringing to it and to the work of the Coalition.

  • Their experience with, and knowledge of, the commercial sector and the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Their past engagement in the work of the Coalition.

All applicants must also include with their submission, at least one letter of support each from both the generic and innovator subsectors.
