CTI Exchange Youth Council Members Win International Award

CTI Exchange Youth Council Members from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati recently won a gold medal at the annual international synthetic biology competition, iGEM (International Genetic Engineering Machine), organized by the iGEM Foundation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). They won for their youth-led novel contraception design called OviCloak which employs synthetic biology by genetically modifying the commensal bacteria found in the fallopian tubes.
