Femasys Inc. has announced the peer-reviewed publication of positive safety and efficacy results from its FemBloc® permanent birth control clinical trials. The data, published in the Journal of Gynecology & Reproductive Medicine, highlights the compelling effectiveness and five-year safety of FemBloc®, a non-surgical, in-office method for permanent contraception. The trials demonstrated a 0% pregnancy rate among participants who met trial eligibility and were confirmed to have their fallopian tubes successfully blocked, significantly outperforming the historical control of surgical sterilization. Safety reports were consistent with typical intrauterine transcervical procedures, with no ongoing safety concerns and no serious adverse events reported. Both patient and practitioner satisfaction were notably high, with the majority of subjects indicating they would recommend FemBloc®.
