Berlin and London-based fem-tech startup Inne has received regulatory certification in the UK and Europe for its Minilab, a saliva-based contraceptive device. The device  tracks progesterone levels through daily saliva tests, offering 100% effectiveness with perfect use and 92% with typical use.

Following a year-long clinical study involving 300 women and over 1,500 cycles, the British Standards Institute recently granted approval. Originally launched in 2019 as a fertility tracker, the Minilab now serves as a certified contraceptive and broader health platform. Co-CEO Eirini Rapti emphasized the significance of this innovation, stating, “After nearly 80 years without innovation, we’ve created the first new contraceptive method that puts women’s biological data at the centre.”
