NIH Releases Updated "How to Apply" Application Guide

The National Institutes of Health has updated it’s How to Apply – Application Guide for SF424 (R&R) submissions to NIH and other PHS agencies, reflecting December 2025 changes and instructions applicable to due dates on/after Jan 25, 2025. The new guide provides updates to the following:

  • Foreign justification attachments.
  • ORCID iD requirements.
  • Biographical Sketch Common Form.   
  • NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement.
  • Current and Pending (Other) Support (CPOS) Common Form.
