Suction-Based Tenaculum Makes Best Inventions of 2024 List
Carevix, a suction-based cervical device designed by Aspivix to reduce pain and bleeding during intrauterine device (IUD) insertions has been named on the Time’s list of best inventions of 2024. Traditional methods using a tenaculum, a scissor-like instrument, can cause significant discomfort. Carevix offers a gentler alternative, making procedures safer, quicker, and more comfortable. The device has shown promising results in prototype trials and is expected to be commercially available in the U.S. by the end of 2024.
