History

Non-human primate evaluation conducted 2010-2013 suggested immediate administration of oral meloxicam for 5 days following intercourse could consistently disrupt ovulation and prevent pregnancy. 2010 clinical evaluation in 27 surgically sterilized human volunteers found that a 30mg dose/day for 5 days in the late follicular phase produced ovulatory dysfunction in 90.9% of participants with no serious adverse events.
